Mariana takes her children Eva and Simão to Almeida Garrett Municipal Library almost every week and each night she reads them a story. She also worries about setting an example, so she reads quite often and she says that there are many books at home. At least regarding Eva (who I have photographed before exactly at the same place), Mariana can say that the strategy is working because "she has already been bitten by the book bug". When I took their picture there were three books on the table, all to be read that morning: "I Hate School!", "Happy Birth Day!", and "Wolf's Magnificent Master Plan".
