Ana Gabriela & George R. R. Martin

Este inverno não tem sido fácil para o Acordo Fotográfico. A chuva afasta os leitores dos jardins e das esplanadas, as minhas horas de almoço têm sido quase todas passadas no escritório a compensar as faltas dadas por causa dos preparativos para a viagem (sobretudo por causa das consultas médicas e idas ao banco) e os fins de semana passados em casa porque perante o frio e os aguaceiros prefiro este conforto. Sempre dá para descansar (que bem preciso!), leio e escrevo um pouco. Ando, portanto, arredada dos locais onde seria mais provável encontrar leitores nesta altura do ano e se não fossem as viagens diárias de metro, estaria muito provavelmente sem assunto para partilhar convosco. No meio desta escassez ainda tenho a sorte de encontrar leitores simpáticos, dispostos a colaborar para além do que seria esperado. Foi o caso da Ana Gabriela, que "cacei" a ler na estação da Casa da Música a escassos minutos da chegada da sua carruagem. Nem tive tempo de ficar com o seu email, pelo que lhe pedi que fosse ela a contactar-me para que pudesse enviar-lhe algumas perguntas por escrito. E a Ana Gabriela foi impecável, porque não só me escreveu como combinado, como ainda respondeu por escrito às perguntas que lhe enviei uns dias mais tarde. Para esta "devoradora de livros" ler é "fugir, é sair da concha que é o nosso quotidiano e viajar, sonhar, viver outras vidas, outras aventuras, conhecer outros mundos!", por isso todos os livros contam e lê de tudo. Flagrei-a com "A Tormenta de Espadas" entre as mãos, um livro de George R. R. Martin, o autor que mais vezes aparece aqui no Acordo Fotográfico. "Estou há 2 meses a ler as Crónicas de Gelo e Fogo. Experimentei o primeiro volume e depois nunca mais consegui parar. Não sei bem porquê este tipo de leitura... Talvez pela fama da série televisiva. Emprestaram-me os primeiros três volumes e neste momento já me ofereceram todos até ao sexto", explicou.

This Winter hasn’t been easy for Acordo Fotográfico. The rain withdraws the reader from gardens and terraces, my lunch hours have been spent at the office to make up for the absences due to the arrangements for the trip (mainly because of medical appointments and meetings at the bank) and the weekends spent at home because I prefer this comfort than to face the cold and the showers. It gives time to rest (which I really need!), I read and write a bit. So, I am distant from the places where it is more likely to find readers this time of the year and if I didn’t catch the subway everyday probably I would have no photos to share with you. In the middle of this paucity I’m lucky to find friendly readers, willing to cooperate far more than what can be expected. That was the case of Ana Gabriela, who I “caught” reading at Casa da Música station a few minutes before the arrival of her carriage. I didn’t have time to get her email, so I asked her to contact me so I could send her a few questions in writing. And Ana Gabriela was impeccable, because not only she wrote to me as promised, but she also answered the questions I sent her a few days later. To this” book worm” reading is “escaping, is to get out of the shell formed by the day-to-day life and travel, dream, live other lives, other adventures, meet new worlds!”, so all the books count and she reads everything. I caught her with “A Storm of Swords" in her hands, a book by George R.R. Martin, the author with more number of presences here at Acordo Fotográfico. “I’ve been reading “A Song of Ice and Fire” for the past 2 months. I tried volume number one and since then I can’t stop. I’m not sure why this kind of reading… Maybe because of the fame of this Television show. They lend me the first three volumes and right now I have been offered all of the books until the sixth one, she explained.”
